How to use H-CLOUD FORUM?

Registration

You can login or register for an account by heading to the login page.

Simply provide your email address, and a verification link will be sent to you by email. Upon clicking the link, you will be asked to provide a username and password. Make sure to choose a secure password containing at least an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character.

After clicking on Create account, your account will be set for approval by an admin. Once approved, you will receive a welcome email, and you will be able to login.

Once you receive the Welcome email you may log into both the Community Forum and the File Sharing Drive.

You may switch between the Community Forum and the File Sharing Drive by using the navigation bar (on top of the page)… Clicking Drive when on the Community Page to move to the File Sharing Drive.

And clicking on the Community button when on the File Sharing Drive page.

Discuss with the community

Upon logging into the Forum you will be presented with the front page, which displays several categories of community discussions available. These can be browsed directly from the list, or by using the navigation buttons above it to quickly move around the categories and their various sub-categories, as well as displaying the latest topics.

From there you can start a new topic in any category you have access to, or start replying to existing ones. The Forum offers support for markdown text for writing nicely formatted replies with images and hyperlinks embedded within them. You also have options to bookmark topics and replies, pin them for quicker access, giving likes to other people’s posts and more.

Clicking on a user’s icon will bring up a popup that allows you to view their Portfolio of topics and replies they have posted, as well as message them privately.

From the navigation menu on the top right of any page you can access the search bar for looking up topics using keywords, as well as your account and profile, where you can browse through your messages, check your notifications and activity, as well as logging out.

Share file with the community

Whilst small images can be shared directly in the Forum, for sharing all kinds of files you can access the Community Drive.

From the Drive you can download, view and even edit files directly through the interface. You can create new folders and upload new files via the large + button at the top of the list.

For each file/folder you can click on the small graph icon (the 3 dots connected by 2 lines) to bring up the options subview, which allows you to leave comments, check on the history of changes done, and share the file/folder with other members of the community.

From the Drive, using the navigation bar at the top of the page, you can also access a Calendar for viewing and creating events, and a section for viewing and creating Polls.
